Westcotes Weekly Update
Hello everyone,
Here’s an update on what your Westcotes officers have been working on over the past week:
---
Patrols and Community Engagement
Officers have been carrying out regular patrols throughout Westcotes. We’ve been speaking with residents, business owners, and local partners to address ongoing community concerns, including reports of anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity.
---
Firework Patrols
With the fireworks season now in full swing, we’ve been conducting targeted patrols to prevent anti-social behaviour linked to fireworks misuse.
Fireworks should only be used on private property with the owner’s permission.
It is illegal to set off fireworks in the street or public spaces.
Fireworks must not be used after 11pm (midnight on Bonfire Night and 1am on New Year’s Eve).
If you witness the dangerous or anti-social use of fireworks, please report it via 101 or online through the Leicestershire Police website.
---
Community Concerns and Reporting
Thank you to everyone who continues to share information and report issues. Every report we receive helps us identify problem areas and plan our patrols more effectively. If you have ongoing issues such as noise nuisance, drug activity, or anti-social behaviour, please continue to report them — even if you’ve done so before.
---
Stay Connected
Your local officers are always keen to hear from you. You can contact us via:
101 (non-emergency) or 999 in an emergency
