Burbage Police Weekly Update. Who's About, Patrols, Events And Engagements. |
||||||||
Hello Resident,
We hope you are well. Here is an update regarding crime and Police activity in Burbage this week.
Reported Crime and Appeals
Report from Primrose Drive that on the night of Monday 13th, a suspect was seen climbing over a back garden fence. No reports of crime but please ensure 999 is called immediately if you see this type of behaviour.
Report from a resident where several garden ornaments have been taken from Curzon Close over the nights of the 14th and 15th. If you have seen anyone in the area doing this or have any vehicle details, please get in touch. Darren.stretton@leics.police.uk
Patrols, Police Activity and local engagement
Stop search completed on Farm Road by officers patrolling the area.
PC Davidson has been out and about this week completing late night patrols around parks, residential areas and locations raised by residents.
Patrols include East Close, Local Parks such as Hinckley Road, Tilton Road, Colts Close and residential areas of Burbage
We have visited Burbage Juniors as requested, to support with their “Be safe, be seen” work. We completed an assembly to discuss personal road safety as well as issues that can be passed on to parents such as bad parking, driving on footpaths, using mobile phones whilst driving, and the use of E-scooters. Thanks to our Police volunteer, Jackie, we were able to provide the school with reflective items for the children as we approach the darker nights. We hope some of these messages make it home to parents as it is everyone’s responsibility to keep the children safe outside schools.
We completed our monthly beat surgery at the Three Pots Post Office on Friday. It was a really good event, speaking to lots of people, supporting with crime reduction, and giving away a few bits such as bicycle lights and “freebies” to the younger residents. As always, a pleasure to visit this location for a couple of hours and we had some really productive and positive conversations with residents.
Crime prevention and issues to be aware of
Just a reminder for the 2nd of November, we will be at the Millennium Hall with our crime prevention items at the Emma Shaw foundation charity indoor Christmas market from 12:00-16:00.
Pump track Event in the October half term. Something to keep the kids (and perhaps adults) busy over the half term week. Please pop along to the Britannia Road recreation ground.
Our Confidence survey is open until the end of the month, so if you haven’t already, it would be appreciated if you can take a few moments. The feedback is read and your points taken on board so why not have your say. Thank you very much to those who have already filled it in. https://survey.neighbourhoodlink.co.uk/Survey/GUID/e4207acb-bd0b-4000-b735-d4ae32bcffd6
Thank you and take care.
