Police: A foggy morning!

🌫️ Good morning Rutland North!

It’s foggy out there today, like pea soup some might say! 🍵

If you're heading out on the roads, here’s your friendly reminder to drive safe in the fog:

🚗 Lights on, not full beam – use dipped headlights so you don’t dazzle others. Use your fog lights where appropriate.
🐌 Slow and steady – fog messes with your depth perception, so give yourself extra time and space.
👀 Keep your distance – tailgating in fog is like playing a very dangerous game of peekaboo!
📱 No distractions – now’s not the time to be fiddling with your playlist, or the radio. Set everything up how you like it before you set off.
🧠 Think ahead – you should always be able to stop in the distance you can see to be clear, on your side of the road. If you can't see far, then don't go fast!
📺 Consider your journey - if visibility is poor, consider the route you take, or think about delaying your journey if you can.

Foggy mornings are beautiful, but they can be risky – let’s keep Rutland roads safe and avoid any early unwanted surprises in the mist 🚫🎃👻
