South Leicester Police - Safer Summer Streets.

Dear South Leicester Resident

You are receiving the following email as a resident living on the Freemen Police Beat.

Leicestershire Police will continue to support the Safer Summer Streets national campaign through out September aimed at making local communities safer, more vibrant and welcoming for everyone.

The government lead initiative aims at reducing anti-social behaviour (ASB) and reducing retail crime by increasing police visibility and conducting community engagements with the aim of creating stronger community relationships. During August there have been several positive results which have been highlighted on the South Leicester Polices dedicated Facebook Page.

Locally there has been a significant reduction in reports of ASB in the Old Saffron Lane area after several warnings were issued to a group identified as being involved at the start of the Summer. Officers from the local team will be conducting several beat surgeries during September and will continue to conduct visible patrols in areas where ASB is reported to us.

You can read more about the Safer Summer initiative on the Leicestershire Police homepage by using the link below.

Kind regards.
