Good Morning residents of Abbey Ward ,

 

The Team have seen a sudden increase  in reports of unattended cars being broken into on the streets. Victims are reporting smashed windows and in some cases valuables being taken from the vehicles. We appreciate that not everyone has a driveway to park on so if you need to street park please remember the following tips to keep your property safe from harm…

 

  • Don`t leave valuables in your vehicle on show or hidden
  • Keep your vehicle locked secured and if possible alarmed
  • Park away from dark secluded areas , aim to be under street lights and overlooked by houses
  • Consider whether the area is covered by cctv cameras

    • Please report any suspicious activity to us online or via our 101 phoneline
