Bank Scams

Dear member

We are investigating a number of incidents where customers of Natwest and Tesco banks are being contacted on their mobile phones by persons reporting to be from the bank.

The persons are scammers and are  telling customers that there has been illegal activity on their account or another issue and need an emergency cash code to prove who you are.

They are trying to gain access to your account to obtain money

The banks will never contact you and ask for a code

You only need an emergency cash code if you report your cash / debit card has been stolen. The code allows you to withdraw money from your account without the need of a cash card.

If you or someone you know has any of these calls dont give a code but hang up and call the police or go into you bank to report it so they can safe guard your account as a precaution

Please be vigilant and aware of who is contacting you

Stay safe

Regards
