Statement from NPA Commander, Inspector 1847 Darren Richardson:

 

We understand that the recent incident in Stathern has caused concern across the local community. I want to reassure residents that we are working closely with our partners to provide support, maintain public confidence, and ensure that the community feels safe and informed.

 

Neighbourhood officers remain in the area, engaging with residents and offering a visible presence to provide reassurance. We are committed to being accessible and responsive, and we encourage anyone with concerns to speak with our officers or use the dedicated Major Incident Public Portal.

 

We are also working in close partnership with Melton Borough Council, who have played a key role in helping us coordinate community support and ensure that local services are aligned in their response. Their continued collaboration is vital in helping us address the wider impact this incident may have on the community.

 

We remain focused on supporting our residents, maintaining open lines of communication, and ensuring that the community continues to feel safe and supported as the investigation progresses.
