NL63 Weekly Update

Dear Neighbourhood Link Member,

Here is a update on neighbourhood policing in the NL63 neighbourhood. 

 

Crime Prevention Advice

  • The beat team are aware schools have now broken up for summer holidays, and we understand many of you will be off on holidays with your little ones, however, please remember to secure your home and deter it from opportunistic thieves while you are away. Some examples of what steps you can take to secure your home are- 

     

  • Keep all windows and doors closed and locked.
  • Ask a neighbour to take any post in.
  • Ensure all outdoor lights are working.
  • Don't leave any valuables on show.

    • What have the neighbourhood team been doing?

  • PCSO 6869 and PCSO 6078 continue to hold beat surgeries at St Marys church in Nanpantan as you addressed we needed to hold beat surgeries in Nanpantan as well as Shelthorpe, these beat surgeries will continue to be held monthly! Keep an eye out for the next confirmed date.
  • The beat team are aware of the rise of reports in nuisance motorbikes/quadbikes as the weather gets warmer, please be assured the beat team are putting extra patrols in place in an attempt to deter this behaviour, as well as working to identify those involved.

    • This is just a selection of what the neighbourhood team have been doing, we have also been completing crime investigations, visible patrolling including 'hot spot' areas and engaging with residents and businesses in the area. 

    Upcoming Neighbourhood Consultations

  • PCSO 6078 Mia is holding a beat surgery on the 15/07/25 from 10:30-12:00 at The Arc Community Hub, feel free to pop along and say hi or address any concerns you may have and want the beat team to be aware of.

    • Neighbourhood consultations are a good opportunity to discuss your neighbourhood concerns and meet your local policing team. Please come along and speak to us.
