City Centre Beat – Weekly Roundup
It’s been another busy and productive week for the City Centre team! Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Tackling Illegal E-Scooters & E-Bikes We’ve now seized over 250 illegal vehicles as part of our ongoing efforts to keep the city safe and accessible.
Bike Register Event PCSO Jane and PC Tom helped cyclists protect their bikes by registering them — boosting the chances of recovery if stolen.
Retail Crime Crackdown PC Karl made multiple arrests linked to retail crime and has applied for a Criminal Behaviour Order to ban a prolific offender from the city centre.
Community Engagement at John Lewis PCSO Donna hosted a crime and ASB prevention event, speaking directly with the public about how we can work together to stay safe.
Supporting Local Businesses PCSO Tim has been out on joint patrols with stores, deterring would-be thieves as part of our Safer Business Action initiative.
Licensing Checks The team carried out weekend checks to ensure venues are meeting licensing objectives — helping everyone enjoy a safe night out in the city.
Thank you to everyone we’ve engaged with this week — your support helps us make a real difference.
