Rural South

As part of the Rural South beat team I try to get out onto the beat and conduct foot patrols as often as possible. Today I have focused on Asfordby, Gaddesby, Old Dalby and Somerby. PC Tranter and I are frequently told by residents how much being seen and available to speak to, is both appreciated and reassuring, and we will continue to do this as much as we can.

I shall be attending the Asfordby Hill School Summer Fete tomorrow (Saturday) between 11am and 1pm with a marked police car, and I look forward to seeing some of you there.

Just a very quick final note. One of our 3 main beat priorities is Road Safety so please take extra care when driving as there tend to be more cyclists, motor cycles and horses than usual on our country lanes while we're enjoying this hot weather.
