Valley Beat - Rural Crime

Dear Members,

 

Rural Crime Awareness Training! Building Skills for Safer Communities

 

Officers from the Valley and Forest Beat Teams recently took part in Rural  Crime Awareness Training, gaining hands-on experience and vital knowledge to better serve our rural communities. 

 

 The training covered:

  • Livestock Handling: How to safely manage cows and sheep, and how to put a head collar on a horse.
  • Rural Crime Insights: Understanding the unique challenges of rural crime, including plant and vehicle theft.
  • Security Measures: Best practices for preventing and responding to rural crime.
  • Expert Guidance: Valuable information shared by the National Gamekeepers’ Organisation.

    • This training strengthens our ability to support and protect rural areas more effectively.
