🚓 Neighbourhood Commander Update - May🚓 - Survey Plea

**Neighbourhood Commander Update - May**

Thank you. Thank you to the communities of Leicester as a whole for their mutual respect and support in the discussions and grieving following life being lost in the Kashmir region of India. I have spent time with a number of groups and it was great to see open and constructive discussions about how the local communities can continue to work together to make the area better.

Across the Thurncourt area we have had further enforcement work around the reports of drugs use and anti-social behaviour and some great results from the local neighbourhood priority team including stopping a suspicious vehicle, locating illegal items within it and then arrest and deal with the occupants! If you deal drugs and harm the local community through it then we will find you!

As we look forward we are now coming in to Half Term and into warmer times so we will hopefully see people out and about utilising the wonderful green spaces across the area. We have a dedicated operation - Operation WASP to help capture the work of the local dedicated neighbourhood teams and the council to keep these areas safe and welcoming. We will be using our own powers and park bye-laws to deal with those who cause issues and littering/urinating or causing anti-social behaviour will be dealt with robustly.

And lastly we need your help. We need to know what you feel are the big issues across East Leicester. We need you to let us know what is going on and where possible be willing to engage in two way communication with us to ensure we understand and can deal with your problems.

So please if you have five minutes please may I ask you to complete the survey though the link below:
