The NC04 weekly roundup


๐Ÿ”ท A roundup of just some of the work conducted on the NC04 beat this week:

 

Sunday 18th saw PCs Tom and Ellis and Sgt Zane policing the last game of the season: Ipswich V LCFC at the King Power Stadium ๐ŸŸ๏ธ. Several officers from the beat team are Police Support Unit (PSU) trained ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ which is why we sometimes assist other areas with policing operations.

 

Monday 19th saw the start of Operation Sceptre which is the forceโ€™s response to tackling knife crime. For this entire week there have been specific and targeted patrols ๐Ÿš“, a tailored social media campaign ๐Ÿ“ฑ, engagements ๐Ÿค and knife sweeps ๐Ÿ”. #livesNotKnives #livesafe

 

Tuesday 20th saw #OpPedalfast conducted in our City Centre. 6 illegal/modified e-bikes and 6 e-scooters seized โš ๏ธ. That brings the running total of seized vehicles on the operation to

 

Wednesday 21st PC Tom attended a burglary on the beat. CCTV was recovered ๐Ÿ“น which has provided a viable line of enquiry which is being progressed. Hopefully this will lead to a positive identification and then officers can seek to locate and arrest the burglars ๐Ÿ‘ค๐Ÿš“.

 

Tonight, Thursday 22nd, has seen PCs Dean and Elliot patrolling our City in plain clothes. They spotted and arrested a male wanted on recall to prison ๐Ÿ”’. Meanwhile PC Katie attended an alarm at a bank ๐Ÿฆ โ€“ she secured the area and waited for security to take over.
