Patrols, Police Activity and local engagement
We have been completing patrols around local parks to monitor anti-social behaviour, we have been completing work such as safeguarding concerns and visiting locations that have been raised as concerns by local residents.
Patrols at parks such as Tilton Road, Rugby Road, Colts Close and Hinckley Road park around school times.
With the support of our Police volunteer (Jackie) and Pc Liz from Hinckley, we attended the Grove Road Schools PTFA Spring fair. It was a fantastic event which was very well organised and attended. Lots of engagement with residents. The kids also had lots of fun with the Police car and uniform. We hope you all had a great time.
Crime prevention and issues to be aware of
There was a report of what appears to be a child running out into the road on Windsor Street on Saturday evening and getting hit by a vehicle. The child was taken to hospital. We are completing work this week around road safety at local schools. We regularly receive contact from residents around a range of road safety concerns such a vehicles and cyclists but we also complete work with children around road safety. We ask that everyone is mindful of potential dangers. Whilst we continue at every opportunity to support residents with crime reduction items and support, we ask that residents are mindful around opportunistic crime and vehicle related crime. During the better weather, there tends to be increased opportunities for criminals such as windows being left open, properties left empty or unlocked, residents on holiday, items left in vehicles or bikes left unattended. Please be mindful of this and ge in touch if you need anything. Darren.stretton@leics.police.uk
Thank you and take care.
