This week local PCSO's attended St MARY IN CHARNWOOD NANPANTAN CHURCH to discuss with local residents what their concerns are and how the police can help resolve them.
Your concerns were:
PARKING ISSUES - the vast majority of the parking issues were around safety concerns and dangerous parking on the curbs. Please be reminded that we encourage people to park off of the curb we understand that this isn't an option. If you are parking on a curb it is essential that you leave at least enough room for a double pushchair/wheelchair/guide dog. Failure to do so will result in police action which could even end up with your car being seized and taken off the road.
SPEEDING ISSUES - Due to demand of speeding complaints the beat team will be conductive both high visibility speed checks and also covert speed checks along the roads of our beat, those caught driving dangerously and over the speed limit will be dealt with accordingly, please find the time to plan your route and drive safely.
DRUGS - Speaking to the residents of our area really helps us out when we tackle drugs issues. The constant feed of information allows us investigate further and even helps us get some great results such as closing illegal cannabis farms, stopping active drug dealers, closing addresses linked to drugs supply and much more. Intelligence and information is absolutely vital when it comes to drugs. If you see something or know something, let us know. Speak to your local officers or even pop into the station.
The beat team want to assure you that your thoughts and opinions have been heard and listened too, if anyone has any concerns or issues they'd also like us to be aware of please feel free to: get in contact with us online, come to a local beat event near you, come into the station or even leave us a comment down below.
Have a good day folks. | ||||
