Your Neighbourhood Beat Team

PCSO Jarvis has been very proactive this week. Spending some time at Bradgate Park in Newtown Linford spreading awareness of sheep worrying.

SO, what is "sheep worrying"

It's when dogs chase or attack sheep, causing them distress, injury, or even death. 😱

Here are some tips to keep our fluffy friends safe:

1. Keep dogs on a lead near livestock. Even the friendliest pooch can turn into a sheep-chasing machine!

2. Train your dog to obey commands. A well-trained dog is a happy dog (and a happy sheep)!

3. Respect farmers' land. Stick to public paths and avoid wandering into fields with livestock.

4. Report any incidents. If you see a dog worrying sheep, let us know ASAP. 📣

5. Remember, a little bit of caution can prevent a whole lot of baa-d news! 🐑🚓

Stay safe 😊
