National Stalking Awareness Week

This week is national stalking awareness week. Stalking and harassment are serious crimes which can have a devastating effect on the lives of victims and their friends and family.

Stalking follows the pattern of FOUR - fixated, obsessed, unwanted and repeated. Any kind of persistent, unwanted contact that causes distress is stalking and is unacceptable.

We would encourage anyone who thinks they are being stalked to report it to us, if they are in immediate danger call 999, otherwise a report can be made online.

Anyone who is not ready to speak to police can access support from the National Stalking Helpline on 0808 802 0300 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111.
