Hello Resident,
Reported Crime and Appeals
Following multiple reports of Graffiti over recent weeks (and sporadically since early January), we have identified the persons involved. We currently have 3 crime reports which are under investigation as well as work being completed with HBBC. Issues occurred around the Hansom Cab area up to the Farm Road area. Thank you to those who got in touch. All resolutions and outcomes are being considered as to resolving the damage done and ensuring it does not happen again.
Report of a disturbance at the Woolcomber pub at around 18:40 on the 10th. One male was arrested upon Police attendance.
Report of an E-bike (as pictured below) being taken from outside an address on London Road (just past the Tesco Express). Incident occurred between 11:00-11:30 on the 11th. The bike is a Eskute Wayfarer in Black. If you see this bike about or have any information, please pop me an email darren.stretton@leics.police.uk 25000083859
Patrols, Police Activity and local engagement
Part of our role is community engagement, this involves younger and older residents in Burbage. These types of activities help ensure everyone has an opportunity to speak to us and be aware of crime/crime reduction relevant to where they live. We visited the Moat house for their Blue light day event where we spoke to residents, and they had the opportunity to have some fun in the Police car.
We have spent a lot of time identifying and dealing with the Graffiti issues this week. This includes communication with Schools, HBBC, home visits and collecting evidence. Patrols ongoing in relation to the recent attempt vehicle thefts on Greenmoor Road and Herald way. Work continues around CCTV and investigations in the area. Due to incidents, I was unable to attend the Co-op for the beat surgery so will look to book this in over the coming week but pop me an email if you need anything. Darren.stretton@leics.police.uk
