Road Safety

During April 24 an operation targeting vehicles offences and County Lines drug dealing was completed in the local area, with vehicles sitting up on the A6003 and A47 either side Uppingham.  Three vehicles were seized, and the drivers were dealt with for a number of offences.

PCSO Wylie assisted Melton officers and the Leicestershire Road Unit with a Fatal 4 Operation on 7th May.  TORs (Traffic Offence Report’s) were issued to several drivers and one male driver was arrested after failing a drug swab.  Melton officers will be returning the favour and a Fatal 4 Operation will be taking place in Rutland in the near future. 

PC Angel and PCSO Wylie were out on Ayston Road and North Street East with the Speed gun on 8 May and one driver was issued with a TOR for excessive speeds.
