Westcotes Weekly Update

Good Afternoon

Westcotes Summary of events for this week, although we are mid week still I wanted to update you on a few key matters.

Firstly on Sunday 21st April there was an incident regarding a male on the roof of a terraced property on Fosse Road South. Due to safety concerns for the person and officers, this required a road closure for the morning. I can confirm that the male was arrested and has been charged with x5 counts of Assault Emergency Service Worker, x1 Criminal Damage to property & x1 Threats with a weapon in a private place. We apologise for any inconvenience caused regarding this incident and thank the local residents and businesses for their patience.

PCSO Ollie has recently recovered several parked vehicles on Linkway Gardens that were untaxed. We are aware that for some residents parking and abandoned vehicles can be an issue. This is a matter that collectively with the Council and DVLA to address, with the Police being a supporting organisation in these types of issues.

Yesterday a report of a theft of vehicle took place and a person has been arrested for this matter and placed on bail, with the vehicle also being recovered.

Please note that our next Beat Surgery on Bede Park at 5:30pm to 7pm tomorrow (Thurs 25th April). PCSO Ollie will be present to discuss any concerns you may have.

In the coming weeks you will receive weekly updates from some of my colleagues on the team, so please look out for them.

Thanks

Matt
