Birstall & Wanlip Newsletter

Good afternoon everybody.

The nights are now drawing out but the weather remains unsettled…

Over the last week or so, PC 1365 Stu and PCSO 6174 Jon have continued to engage with members of the community by undertaking surveys and signing more residents up to Neighbourhood Link and have almost completed the first phase of Street Consultations on the Goscote Ward and will be looking to move round to the Netherhall Ward in the coming weeks.

Our Beat Priorities, which are drawn from the surveys we complete on Neighbourhood Link, have changed and these will be outlined for May's Monthly Newsletter. In brief we will be focusing on ASB, Road Safety Concerns and Thefts from Motor Vehicles but a broader overview of these will be detailed in May's Monthly Newsletter to follow in the coming weeks.

Coming up on Saturday the 27th of April, the Birstall & Wanlip Local Policing Team will be working alongside our neighbouring Thurmaston, Syston & the Wolds Beat Team at Watermead Country Park where we will be holding a Bike Registry and Crime  Prevention Event in tandem with (fingers crossed) the participation of the Local Fire & Rescue Service! We will be within the main car park from 8.30 in the morning running through to 15.30 in the afternoon. Everybody is welcome!

For further information on upcoming events, we will continue to update you all either via Neighbourhood Link or by following us on the Charnwood Police Facebook page, additionally you can go to www.leics.police.uk where this information can be viewed plus the Birstall Post!

Until next time, take care & stay safe.
