A snapshot of our working week from the City Centre beat…

We have had 2 criminal behaviour orders granted at court this week. The first for a prolific shop lifter and the second for a male consistently acting in an ant-social manner causing people in the town to feel harassment, alarm or distress. 

PCSO’s Tim and Donna have completed joint patrols at the Haymarket and Highcross shopping centres to deter ASB and shop theft. 

PC’s Mike and Elliot have worked the night time economy duties, Operation Nightsafe, over the weekend ensuring that a safe night out can be had by all.

2 youths have been issued with a community resolution after causing anti-social behaviour issues at the Arches residential complex. One of the conditions was to write an apology letter.

Our PCSOs have completed 3 beat events this week engaging with members of our community. They discussed personal safety and crime prevention advice at the Central Library, Blood Donor Centre and the Haymarket shopping centre.

Whilst on Foot patrol PC Mike located a male acting suspiciously and he was subject to a stop search. Small amount of Cannabis discovered and the male was issued with an out of court disposal to engage with support services.
