Officers of Abbey Beat have had a busy week;

We’ve been dealing with lots of things over the week and these have included our Beat priorities.

You Said – 

You are fed up with e-scooters in the area and causing anti-social behaviour.

We Did – 

Increased marked and unmarked patrols around hotspots resulting in seizures, warnings issued and education around legislation.

You Said – 

Drug use in the area, especially around Abbey Rise.

We Did – 

Unoccupied properties used in drug supply have been secured by Leicester City Council through joint partnership working and arrests have been made regarding drug supply, with one person placed on remand.

You Said – 

Speeding in the local area of Woodstock Rd, Parker Drive and Wiltshire Road was concerning local residents.

We Did – 

Using the SL700 speed measuring device, we have conducted speed checks at various times.  This has an outcome of 3 speeding offences reported and a number of drivers provided with advice.  These checks will be ongoing.
