Hinckley Town Neighbourhood Team - Weekly Update

Good morning,

It has been a busy week on the Hinckley Town Centre Beat this last week  (Monday 08/04/2024 – 14/04/2024).

There had been a slight increase in the reports of retail crime across the town this week, but with some excellent results, arrests, and vehicle seizures.

2 vehicles seized for no insurance, but both vehicles were linked to retail crime.

Over £2000 worth of goods recovered, including £700 in designer glasses, and a large amount of food and clothing from a local supermarket.

PCSO Wane attended Hinckley and Bosworth Pub Watch on the 10th of April and spoke with members of the local licensing community.

PCSO Wane also staffed the Hinckley Police Pop Up Shop on the 12th of April which was well attended. We really appreciate all of you who attend, and thank you for the positive comments.

The next Pop Up Shop will be held on Monday the 29th of April at 10.00 hours. Please see Facebook, and Neighbourhood Link for other community engagement events.

There was a report of underage alcohol sales and fake ID in the town centre on Saturday evening. PCSO Wane attended, recovered some alcohol, and a fake driving licence. Enquiries are ongoing.

The team work closely with licenced premises in order to stop underage sales, and fake identification cards being used.

We hope you have all had a good week and look forward to giving you an update on our progress next week.
