Dear residents, The NH25 Neighbourhood Beat Team have been kept particularly busy over the past few weeks dealing with Beat priorities Shopliftings and Anti Social behaviour Town centre officers whilst on patrol were joined by the Police and Crime commissioner for a patch walk, where they continued to share with him the good news regarding our high detection rate for offences such a shoplifting. Issues such as Anti-social behaviour and other matters were discussed During patrols, officers popped into stores and key stake holders for a catch up. PCSO Wane was involved with the “You're right, That's wrong ” campaign and the digital ad van in Hinckley Town centre which received a lot of positive comments. ASB Issues Throughout the last few weeks we received numerous reports from residents and businesses about youth related anti-social behaviour in the Town centre. A number of these incidents have been captured on CCTV and we are working closely with partners to address anti-social behaviour in the Town centre. Anti spiking awareness week took place between the 18th and 24th March. PC Payne and PCSO Noone held a street surgery in Market place to raise awareness of this issue. Officers on night time economy duty in the town centre also educated town centre visitors about the dangers of spiking Retail crime High visibility patrols have been and continue to be carried out at peak times, visits to retailers to offer reassurance and support. A number of persons have been arrested and charged with retail crime offences as part of joint work between the beat team, and other police forces.
