Your Local Policing Team has been busy these last 10 days.

PCSO 6389 Nuala Sherlock has been keeping an eye on the Antisocial Behaviour which has been irregularly occurring up at Birstall North Services. As a Team we continue to monitor this situation and will take appropriate action pertinent to reports.

PC 1365 Stu Venables & PCSO 6174 Jon Harrison conducted a Beat Surgery from the Co Op on Wanlip Lane on Thursday the 21st of March, which was warmly received by staff and we regularly show a presence there as we aim to address reports of shoplifting occurring at the premises.

PCSO 6174 Jon Harrison conducted a further Street Consultation on Copeland Road on Sunday the 24th of March but arrived later than scheduled due to recovering items reported by a concerned resident of the Hallam Fields estate as possibly stolen. Owing to the late arrival on Copeland Road, PCSO Jon was only able to complete 1 side of the consultation and will therefore be re-visiting the location in the future to complete the engagement. 

The Beat Team have also begun to utilise Neighbourhood Link for the means of appealing for information related to crimes reported in Birstall and Wanlip, allowing us to reach out to the community in a quicker fashion than the changing nature of the Beat Team's respective roles sometimes allows. We have also begun to monopolise the possibilities of social media from this perspective also, and we will continue to maximise our options at developing information with a view to pursuing restorative justice at all opportunities.

Looking forward, as we face the clocks going back, PCSO Jon will be conducting a Beat Surgery from Hallam Fields Hall on Saturday the 30th of March between 10 am and 12 pm and all are welcome to come along. Past this engagement, we will be announcing further Beat Surgeries, Street Consultations and Bike Registry events in the coming weeks.
