Was your vehicle damaged in Wigston on the 23rd Nov

Dear Members of South Leicester

Hello, Hope you all are well. We have received 11 reports of vehicles being damaged in the Wigston area at the weekend.

The reports relate to windscreen wipers being broken off the vehicles in the areas of Central Avenue, Long Street, Blunt’s Lane and Cedar Avenue.

From enquiries, it is believed the incidents happened on Saturday morning 23rd November around 05:45am.

Officers are keeping an open mind but are treating all the incidents as being linked at this stage.

Anyone with any information or has any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area on Saturday morning should contact us.

Anyone else in the area who has had their car damaged and has not reported it to police should also make contact.

On checking your CCTV cameras the suspect is described as a white male, looks about 20 years, wearing a dark hooded top, possible jeans and trainer shoes that has white stripes on the side of the shoes. The suspect is also holding what is believed to be a bottle of Alcohol.
