Section 35 Dispersal Order in Wigston

Alert message sent 30/10/2019 19:37:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Dear Members of South Leicester

Hello, Hope everyone is well. Your local team are busy around the Wigston area with regards to the Anti-Social behaviour around the Town Centre.

Couple of incidents were reported of an alleged assault by a group in the Wigston town Centre which is currently under investigation and the Police will be taking action. If you were in the area and witnessed any of these incidents to please reply me with details and we will make contact with you soon.
Due to the recent issues we have in place a Section 35 Dispersal Order during the busy times near Halloween and Bonfire Night. This is so we can target those that cause trouble in our neighbourhood and get them to leave our area. Please ensure if you do have or know any young children that go out during the late evenings is to let them know of the Dispersal Order and know where they are and not socialising with a wrong group. The Police will be taking action to anyone or groups that are found causing Anti-Social Behaviour.

We have called colleagues from our dog section to assist us when doing stop/searches thanks to our specialist drugs dog. So far I have been told this has been a success earlier this morning as drugs were seized.

Stay Safe – “If you see something….Say Something and Report it!”
