Since the last Neighbourhood watch brief we have had one report of a burglary residential to a secure outbuilding in Ketton Rd, N Luffenham. Unknown persons have forced entry and removed property. This incident occurred between 23/09/2019 13:40 & 23/09/2019 15:05.
One report of theft from a vehicle in Stockerston Crescent, Uppingham. Unknown persons have forced entry and removed property. This incident occurred between 23/09/2019 22:00 & 24/09/2019 09:30.
One report of theft from a vehicle in Ladywell, Oakham. Unknown persons have gained entry and removed property. This incident occurred between 25/09/2019 11:00 & 25/09/2019 13:48.
One report of theft from a vehicle in Barmstedt Drive, Oakham. Known suspect have forced entry and removed property. This incident occurred between 24/09/2019 12:40 & 24/09/2019 12:40
One report of a burglary residential to a dwelling in Church St, Belton. Unknown persons have attempted entry via a window, no property taken. This incident occurred between 26/09/2019 04:41 & 26/09/2019 05:00.
One report of criminal damage in Parkfield Road, Oakham. Unknown persons cause damage to vehicle. This incident occurred between 24/09/2019 20:40 & 24/09/2019 20:40.
One report of a burglary residential to a dwelling in Derwent Drive, Oakham. . Unknown persons have gained entry by unknown means and removed property. This incident occurred between 21/09/2019 11:30 & 28/09/2019 14:30.

Top Tips to Protect your Van & Tools - Don’t leave your van open and unattended. It only takes thieves a second to steal from your van, make sure you lock it before you leave it
Remove tools from vans over night
Lock tools in a garage - If that’s not possible then think about how you keep your vehicle, ideally in a well-lit area or backed onto another vehicle to make it difficult to get to the doors.
Consider installing CCTV
Enhance your locks. Alarms, immobilisers and deadlocks are popular options.
Consider robust tool safes within the vehicle
Tool marking to assist with identifying your property should you become a victim of crime.
For expensive tools, it would be worth considering buying a tool tracking device to make recovery easier.
