Thank you all for your continued support.
Hello, hope you all are well and had a great Christmas. I have checked over the holiday period that there has been a small number of shed breaks but majority being the Eyres Monsell on Twickernham Road and Swinford Avenue between Christmas and Boxing Day. Please remember to check your sheds are secure. Even though forced entry was made but due to the distance the sheds were at it is sometimes difficult to detect. You can get battery powered alarm units from the Internet and I would really recommend members to purchase these for added peace of mind. However the shed breaks appear to be less from last years stats which is reassuring to see.
Further more we're appealing for information after valuable jewellery and items were stolen during a burglary in Wigston earlier this month. A number of items including gold... and silver bracelet watches, cuff links, signet rings, earrings and pearl necklaces were taken in the incident at a property in Eastway Road. A silver chain with a St Christopher, a silver cigarette case and a Princess Mary Gift Fund First World War brass tin was also among the items stolen.
The burglary happened at around 5.50pm on 1 December. A rear window at the property was smashed to gain entry. Hundreds of pounds in cash was also stolen.
Police Constable Katie Burn said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into the burglary and as part of these enquiries are appealing to anyone who believes they may have come across any of the items described above to make contact.
Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting incident 18000582928. Alternatively you can reply and I can pass on the details to the relevant team.
Stay Safe and hope you all have a great New Year!
