Rutland North & South - The joint Rutland North and Rutland South priority remains as Rural Crime in relation to Burglaries, car crime and theft. We have had a reduction in Theft from vehicles in isolated beauty spots and no further reports of church lead thefts. We continue to work with Neighbouring Police Forces to identify suspects and continue to ask that local residents not to leave any valuables in their vehicles. We continue to utilise the ANPR camera in Rutland to identify vehicles travelling through the County either with no driving documents or linked to criminality. We will continue to work closely with the local residents and will alert you as soon as crime is reported and ask that if anything suspicious is seen to report through 101.

Uppingham - Anti-Social Behaviour is an issue in Uppingham at the moment. You have told us that a group of young local youths have been causing problems in public spaces in Uppingham, including; throwing stones at house roofs, climbing on bus shelters, loitering along North Street East, causing a nuisance in Reeves Yard and noise issues along High Street East. Recent issues also include minor damage in the public toilets and to pot plants on Orange Street. We have increased patrols in hot spot areas and targeted the ring leaders of the group. We have worked with partner agencies to help identify those involved and disrupt further criminal behaviour. We have spoken with the youths parents; having taken them home from some incidents and have requested more preventative tools to help from RCC. Work continues to combat the issues.
