Alert message sent 01/09/2018 18:25:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Dear Members of South Leicester

Hello, hope you all are well? I have recently returned to work from a few weeks of sick leave following an operation I had hence reason to why I have not been in touch with you lately. Now that I am back and well; I want to keep you updated on the plans for the next few months. We have launched ‘OP Behold’ which is a new incentive that has started now and to be run during the end of this year.

We will be focusing on doing consultations from you as we need your help and support. Our focus will be giving advice on home security and providing additional patrols to reduce burglaries. You will notice that we will be making use of a beat bus which is where we will be around and listening to any issues. At the moment from looking at recent stats for Burglaries appear to be Knighton and Oadby are the affected areas.

What I would ask the public to do is be vigilant at all times and please call us if you see any unusual activity relating to the burglaries. If you have CCTV or camera door bells make use of them and ensure that you know how to use them. Any suspicious activity that has been captured on your camera can be emailed securely to us via southleicesternpa@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk. Please ensure you include your details and details about the suspects so if need be we can come back to you if necessary.

You can report non-urgent low level crime via our force website on www.leics.police.uk. This is to save you time ringing in 101.

Stay Safe
