🚓 High Visibility Patrol – with an unexpected pit stop! 🚗

While out on patrol today, officers came across a broken-down vehicle on the A511 between Ashby and Coalville.

We quickly coned off part of the carriageway to give oncoming traffic a clear warning (not quite Formula 1 pit crew, but we did our best! 🏁) and spoke with the driver to help arrange recovery and make sure everyone was safe.

It’s another reminder that no two days in this job are ever the same—you really don’t know what’s waiting around the next bend.

With the warmer weather here and many of you heading out on road trips—especially those coastal getaways 🌊—it’s a good time for a quick safety reminder:

🔧 Check your vehicle before you travel
💧 Keep water in the car (for you as well as the car!)
🗺️ Plan ahead in case of delays or breakdowns

A little preparation can make a big difference and help keep your journey safe and stress-free.
