Police: Update on past few shifts |

Hello Rutland North! 👋
What a week – from cows to collisions! 🐄 🚗 but fortunately not in the same incident! You just never know as a neighbourhood beat bobby what the day holds. Today marks the end of 7 shifts in a row for me before a couple of well-earned days off – and it’s been non-stop! 🚓💨 🚨
Here’s a quick snapshot of just some of what I can say that I’ve been up to 👇
✅ 3-vehicle Road Traffic Collision – thankfully no injuries! A good reminder to drive to the conditions, (which admittedly are a bit yuck currently) and keep your distance. Road safety is one of our local priorities, so please take care out there! 🚗💡
✅ Initial investigation of a burglary at a business premises – enquiries ongoing. Please make sure your property and outbuildings are secure, especially now the darker nights are drawing in earlier. 🔐🌙
✅ Assisted with broken-down vehicles in dangerous live lane positions – if you break down in a dangerous position in a live lane, hazards on, get to safety, and call for help straight away. 📞⚠️
✅ Dealt with the voluntary surrender of shotguns and certificate – all handled safely and professionally.
✅ Responded to cows in the road 🐄 – rural life keeps us on our toes!
✅ Partner agency work with Rutland County Council. 🤝
✅ Carried out safeguarding visits to support vulnerable individuals. 🤝
✅ Conducted ASB patrols to keep our towns and villages safe and peaceful. 👣 🚔
And much, much more! It’s been full-on, but that’s what we’re here for 😃
