I thought I would write to you all to appraise you of a small rise in reports of rural crimes. 

Rural crime is one of our three beat priorities as well as Drugs and Road Safety. 

As we head towards the harvest and our farmers will be working into the night, please be aware of suspicious people / vehicles in our villages.

Use 101 or the Leics Police website reporting for general info or non urgent reports to police.

Use 999 to report emergencies where there is an immediate risk to life or property

For those that have been entered into the Farm Watch groups these can be used for general info etc but please don't rely on this for a police response as we may not see messages straight away, or might not be in a position to respond.

Trackers have been used to good effect recently in returning stolen items to their owners and the Police Rural Crime Team have made great efforts to reduce rural thefts.
